David Guetta and Armin van Buuren are set to release a collaborative record for the first time ever.
Together, they’re responsible for nearly three decades of headline festival appearances, esteemed club residencies, and chart-topping radio hits, but there’s still one thing the respective French and Dutch legends have yet to add to their glowing resumes: releasing original music as a duo.
That’s about to change. Yesterday, Guetta took to Instagram to announce that the pair’s first-ever collaborative release is on the way soon, an effort inspired by their monumental debut B2B performance at Ushuaïa Ibiza in 2022.
“The love of music above all, that’s why Ibiza will always be my favourite place on Earth !!!,” Guetta wrote of van Buuren and their White Isle performance. “We come from different musical paths, but our passion brings us together… And gave us the desire to release a track together.”
No title, release date, or musical previews of the forthcoming track have been shared by either artist at the time of writing. But, fans of both Guetta’s electro-tinged big room and van Buuren’s uplifting trance will no doubt be clamoring for more details in the months to come.
This month, van Buuren has dropped off two new singles, including his anticipated remix of Seven Lions and ILLENIUM’s “Not Even Love,” and “Larger Than Life” with Chef’Special, the official anthem of the Netherlands national soccer team’s UEFA European Championship run this month.
Earlier this week, Guetta inked a deal to become the exclusive U.S. club resident of Fontainebleau’s LIV nightclub properties in Las Vegas and Miami Beach, following the release of his “Man In Finance” remix with TikToker Girl On Couch.
