Four Tet Shares Full Lollapalooza DJ Set On YouTube

Four Tet has shared the full recording of his DJ set at this year’s Lollapalooza on YouTube.

The British producer and DJ played Chicago’s 400,000-capacity multi-genre festival on Saturday as part of a Skrillex-curated takeover of its famously electronic-focused Perry’s Stage.

Alongside Four Tet, the stage, temporarily renamed “Sonny’s” for the occasion, hosted sets from Nia Archives, Kenny Beats, Ahadadadream B2B Manara, 2hollis, and Dylan Brady ahead of Skrillex’s first set at Lollapalooza in a decade.

If you haven’t seen the video clip of Lollapalooza’s all-ages crowd going wild for famed IDM duo Autechre’s oddball track, “Sim Gishel,” at the end of Four Tet’s set, you’re in for a treat. The electronic maestro unloaded another famously untamed festival set, mixing grimy underground bass bangers with dancey techno, leftfield sonics and fun-loving pop music bootlegs.

Throughout the performance, Four Tet played two of his collaborations with Skrillex, Joy Orbison’s trending “flight fm,” and unreleased tracks such as Phrva’s bootleg of Billie Eilish’s “Lunch”, Disclosure and Chris Lake’s “In Two Minds,” Hamdi’s edit of Coki’s “Goblin,” and more.

Of course, Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” also featured, mixed with Sammy Virji’s “Never Let You Go.”

Following the Lollapalooza performance, Four Tet will bring his All Dayer festival to London’s Finsbury Park this weekend. He’ll play a five-hour set, alongside performances from Mala, Champion, Manara, and more.

In March, Four Tet released his highly anticipated 12th studio album, Three. His first full-length LP in over three years, the eight-track project features singles such as “Loved” and “Three Drums.” Last week, Four Tet and Skrillex were revealed as two of several high-profile collaborators on Fred again..’s forthcoming album, ten days.
