ATLiens have released their spellbinding new single, “Be Your Ghost.”
The deep and dark downtempo bass track lands on streaming platforms today as the latest marker in the mysteriously masked duo’s ever-evolving sound, following their recent freeform bass and dubstep exploits on “IMY” with Dion Timmer and “Dinosaurs From Outer Space” with Excision.
“Be Your Ghost” blends eerie sonic atmospheres and powerful shape-shifting basslines for a truly face-melting bass experience. Ethereal vocals from dark pop songstress Roniit add a layer of emotional intensity to the track, complementing its brooding production with lyrical depth.
It’s another worthy addition to ATLiens’ dynamic discography, which has seen the Atlanta-based duo make boundary-pushing sounds their signature since they burst onto the scene with “Chief” in 2015. They’ve now captivated listeners for nearly a decade with their unique fusion of trap, dubstep, and experimental bass, including hits like “Alchemy” and “Fading Out” and their acclaimed EP, Space Cathedral.
After joining Excision’s Nexus tour last spring and throwing down landmark performances at EDC Las Vegas, Electric Forest, and a Tomorrowland debut earlier this summer, ATLiens are next set to bring their mind-boggling beats to Excision’s Bass Canyon festival this weekend.
As summer turns to fall, they’ll make another anticipated appearance at the dubstep don’s flagship Lost Lands ahead of gigs at Apocalypse Zombieland, The Armory in Minneapolis, and their biggest headline show yet at Atlanta’s Coca-Cola Roxy.
