Boiler Room Cancels Disclosure Performance Due To Crowd Surges

Boiler Room

Disclosure’s performance for Boiler Room in London on Sunday was cut short due to crowd surges.

The Grammy-nominated British house duo began their surprise special guest performance, but confirmed via Instagram stories that organizers later canceled the set in order to mitigate safety concerns.

“Unfortunately it’s out of our control but the festival has deemed it unsafe for us to play due to crowd surges,” Disclosure wrote. “We worked really hard on the set for months, flew from LA just to do it and are honestly heartbroken we can’t play.”

In a separate statement, Boiler Room said it “had to halt their set due to such high demand,” adding that the cancellation was not Disclosure’s fault. The event at Lee Valley Showground was part of Boiler Room’s 2024 World Tour and featured additional performances from Marlon Hoffstadt, I Hate Models, Skream & Benga and more.

“Apologies to those who came down for them. We’ll have them back on Boiler Room very soon,” Boiler Room wrote.

Less than one month ago, another Boiler Room world tour stop in Seoul, South Korea, was shut down due to overcrowding in anticipation of Peggy Gou’s homecoming performance. Soichi Terada, who was scheduled to perform after Gou, told Resident Advisor “nobody could move. So they had to abort the show before Peggy or I could play.”
