New Orleans, a city hallowed for its haunting history, is set for a monstrous Halloween weekend party next month.
Hells Gala, the city’s annual Halloween-themed rave, is set to return to the Big Easy on October 25 and 26, bringing some of electronic music’s most powerhouse artists to Mardis Gras World for two nights of haunting hedonism and spooky good beats.
After expanding Hells Gala to two nights last year, local promoter Encore Entertainment has upped the ante even further this year, tapping dance music icons Chris Lake and Zeds Dead to headline the 2024 “Potions & Poisons” themed event.
Night one is all about house music, with in-demand UK selector and Lake’s tech house protege Cloonee set to provide direct support for the Black Book Records boss on Friday, October 26. Earlier in the night, four-on-the-floor fans can catch the sounds of burgeoning Black Book Records artist Banglaboy and local duo Merger, who will make their fourth appearance at Hells Gala.
The event will close out with a bass-heavy bang on night two, Saturday, October 27. Support performances will come from modern sound design maestro Mersiv, rising experimental bass talent Steller, and local talent Bawldy before the legendary Deadbeats duo takes the stage.
This year’s event will also feature two stages, a selection of local food vendors, immersive performers, art installations, and costume contests.
Founded in 2009, Hells Gala is an all-too-often slept-on New Orleans tradition known for bringing top-tier electronic talent to a city with no shortage of Halloween parties. Previous editions have hosted performances from John Summit, Subtronics, ILLENIUM, FISHER, and more.
