The BPM Festival Shares Phase One Lineup For Costa Rica 2025

The BPM Festival

The BPM Festival has unveiled the first wave of artists set to play its 2025 edition in Costa Rica.

Returning to the beaches of Tamarindo from January 8-12, 2025, the world-famous destination festival will mark its fourth appearance in Costa Rica with a host of performances from house and techno’s leading artists and underground stalwarts.

Melodic and organic house and techno sounds take center stage in today’s phase one lineup announcement, with world-class melodic players such as Adriatique, ARTBAT, CamelPhat, Francis Mercier and Rodriguez Jr., venerated Innervisions duo Âme, Space Ibiza legend Steve Lawler, and a DJ set from Australian singer-songwriter RY X.

Elsewhere, attendees can dive into the grooves of Latin house heavyweight HUGEL and surging Palestinian-American selector DJ Habibeats. The melodic prowess continues with an anticipated return performance from Akumandra label founder Sainte Vie, Jan Blomqvist, Mathew Jonson, and many more. Additional names will be revealed in the coming months. Check out the full announcement below.

In July, organizers announced that the BPM Festival will move to a new “sprawling” 200-acre venue with two nighttime jungle stages and a daytime stage on the beach. The new location, which is technically just outside of Tamarindo, is said to offer “an immersive day-to-night journey set against Costa Rica’s stunning sunsets and lush landscapes,” according to organizers, with a continued focus on elevated production and enhanced sound, lighting, and stage design.

Select events will continue in Tamarindo proper, including daytime parties at various beach clubs, with Chiquita’s Bar anchoring the festivities. Organizers are also planning unique activations and spontaneous pop-up events in town, and the festival has partnered with several high-end hotels and transportation companies to ensure a streamlined travel experience, according to a press release.

Since its launch as a small industry gathering in 2008, the BPM Festival has grown to become a celebrated tradition for clubbers seeking warmer climates during winter, hosting flagship events in Mexico, Portugal, and Tel Aviv, as well as one-off shows in Brazil, Ibiza, Miami, Toronto, and more.
