Ganja White Night has officially set the release date for their new album, Sprouted.
The Belgian bass duo, famous for their wobbly brand of dubstep, announced on social media yesterday that the forthcoming LP will arrive on February 28. The project will mark producers Charlie “Erwan” Dodson and Benjamin “Bamby” Bayeul’s 11th full-length album as Ganja White Night, and will be followed by an all-new live show—their first in five years.
Though the full Sprouted tracklist is still under wraps at the time of writing, fans can expect it to feature five previously released singles, including the group’s latest, “Who Set the World on Fire,” with Stick Figure; “Rapid Fire;” their high-powered collaboration with Excision, Wooli, and MC Eksman, “Burnin,” with Boogie T; “Rise Up,” with Wooli; and their long-awaited collaboration with Tape B, “Ganja Tape.”
An as-yet-unnamed ID with Distinct Motive is also rumored to be on the album, following several play-outs at the rising deep dub star’s recent gigs. Ganja notably reposted a clip of the track on X back in December.
In addition to the release date, the group also revealed the cover art for the album. Crafted by artists Darkelixironer and Ebo, a heralded Belgian street artist who has worked with the duo dating back to their very first album in 2010, the cover features a new character joining the story of “Mr. Wobble,” the visual universe that has accompanied Ganja’s sub-bass sounds since 2016.
The next chapter in this story will be on full display across the group’s “Sprouted” album tour, which kicks off in Chicago on the day of the album’s release, February 28, before hitting cities like Detroit, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Seattle, Dallas, and Buffalo through May 10. They’ll play two shows in each city, with support from Boogie T, Distinct Motive, Eliminate, LYNY, Mr. Bill, The Widdler, and more on select dates. Check out the full schedule below.
After the spring tour, Ganja White Night will return to Colorado’s famous Red Rocks for their fourth consecutive Wobble Rocks headline show, joined by LYNY, Mary Droppinz, Chef Boyarbeatz, and more.
