ILLENIUM just teased a mysterious new project on the way.
In an interview with Billboard, published today, the superstar bass DJ and producer—real name Nick Miller—announced his new recording contract with Republic Records and revealed new details about his latest artistic endeavor, which he’s set to formally announce within the next six months.
Though ILLENIUM didn’t divulge whether the project is an album, he told Billboard’s Katie Bain, “I’m working every day, but don’t have an exact ETA yet. But I’m moving at light speed.”
ILLENIUM went on to share that his releases include a drum & bass collaboration with rap hero Kid Cudi, as well as a songwriting link-up with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder on a new tune with Amy Allen and Lostboy, per Billboard. Yesterday, ILLENIUM and powerhouse dance singer-songwriter HAYLA teased a new track “coming soon” in a joint post on Instagram.
If an album is to materialize, it would be the Colorado-based artist’s first since 2023, when he released his self-titled ILLENIUM LP and its ensuing remix counterpart.
Outside of the studio, ILLENIUM is gearing up for another big festival run, with performances at Breakaway Atlanta and EDC Las Vegas (B2B with SLANDER) next weekend. Later this summer, the artist’s emotional melodies and heavy drops will be on display at the Indy 500, the Philippines’ &FRIENDS, Beyond Wonderland (Chicago and at the Gorge), Shambhala, Elements, and more, in addition to his residency gigs at Zouk in Las Vegas.
