Dim Mak Tuesdays Announces LA Return With The Bloody Beetroots

Dim Mak Tuesdays

Dim Mak Tuesdays is back where it all began.

The legendary weeknight party from Steve Aoki’s influential label is set for a long-awaited revival on Tuesday, August 27, returning to its original Los Angeles home, Cinespace at the Bourbon Room, with The Bloody Beetroots, a name synonymous with Dim Mak and the early 2000s bloghouse era that launched it to previously unthinkable heights.

Masked man Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, the founding member of the powerhouse punk-meets-electro project that helped define Dim Mak’s golden age with early Bloody Beetroots singles like “Warp 1.9” and “Cornelius,” will deliver a headline DJ set. Even more “OG bloghouse acts” will be announced at a later date.

Prior to the EDM boom of the 2010s, Dim Mak Tuesdays sat at the forefront of a thriving underground party scene in Los Angeles, littered with famously raucous club nights and pop-up events.

Alongside Aoki and other residents like Them Jeans and Dan Oh, special guests like Skrillex, DJ AM, A-Trak, Felix Cartal, and Dillon Francis helped establish the party as one of the best on the SoCal circuit, and establish Dim Mak as much more than a punk rock label, just as EDM was fixing to explode in the commercial mainstream.
