Soulwax is bringing the first-ever rave to London’s famous Abbey Road Studios.
The storied Belgian dance duo will present “Abbey Road After Hours” on Saturday, February 21, spinning under their 2manydjs alias at an artist-curated event that promises to turn the legendary recording studio, known for giving life to tracks by the Beatles, Queen, David Bowie, and Radiohead, into a one-night-only rave.
An as-yet-unannounced lineup will join Soulwax brothers Stephen and David Dewaele at the event, taking place within Abbey Road’s flagship Studio One. Described by Abbey Road as the world’s largest purpose-built recording studio, the space—capable of recording a 100-piece orchestra and spanning almost 5,000 square feet—offers plenty of room to rave.
The event will also showcase new music recorded by Soulwax in Abbey Road’s Studio Two the day before the show.
“If you only go to one rave in the place where they record Star Wars soundtracks, while dancing to 2manydjs & friends on DEEWEE’s mad new soundsystem, spinning Soulwax music recorded just the day before in Studio Two and immediately cut to vinyl in-house…make it this one,” Soulwax and Abbey Road Studios wrote in a joint social media post.
Fans can register to attend Soulwax presents “Abbey Road After Hours” at soulwax.com. Registration closes this Thursday, February 12, at 12PM local time (7AM EST). Those selected will be contacted on Friday, February 13.
