Levity and GRiZ just popped off with their debut collab.
After months of hype, culminating in a surprise on-stage appearance from GRiZ during Levity’s record-setting hometown headline show last weekend, the awaited new single, “Pop Off,” arrives on Ultra Records today, marking the viral bass trio’s first studio release with the saxophone-toting genre icon.
Built as a high-energy set intro, the track marries Levity’s famously hip-hop-influenced drum patterns and melodic crescendos with GRiZ’s signature funk-driven low-end in a meeting of bass music’s most famous faces.
Since Levity and GRiZ debuted “Pop Off” together at the inaugural Seven Stars Festival in October, the track has become a fan-favorite moment from Levity’s currently underway LASERSHIP tour, soundtracking the opening sequence to their custom 360-degree laser production, which set the record for the largest laser deployment ever used for a bass music show in North America at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena last weekend.
