Chris Lake is set to release an official remix for one of the planet’s biggest pop stars, Taylor Swift.
The UK house icon announced on social media today that his new rework of Swift’s “Opalite,” from the singer-songwriter’s latest multi-platinum album, The Life of a Showgirl, is now available for preorder on CD. He also confirmed that more release details will be available soon.
In a joint Instagram post with Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, Lake’s remix announcement was accompanied by screenshots of the producer and DJ’s direct message exchange with the NFL tight end, who professed his love for Lake’s music and called the artist’s debut LP, Chemistry, “one of my favorite albums I listen to right now.”
“When @killatrav & @taylorswift hit you about an official remix.. you get it done,” Lake wrote on Instagram.
Lake is one of four dance music artists Swift has recruited to rework “Opalite,” alongside BUNT., Skream, and Ely Oaks.
