Kaskade and Crankdat’s coveted bass collab, “A Little Bit,” is getting an official release.
The pair announced today on social media that their awaited debut collaboration will arrive this Friday, July 10, landing as the third single from Kaskade’s forthcoming album, Origin //.
Debuted in a crossover moment for the ages during Kaskade’s return to Coachella earlier this year, the track marries the deep house legend’s iconic melodies with famously high-impact bass design supplied by dubstep’s man of the moment, making for a high-powered festival anthem that bridges genres and generations.
For Kaskade, it’s the latest of several major collaborations with dance music’s next-gen stars that continue to shape his 11th solo LP as a proverbial passing of the torch, following earlier album singles with BUNT. and Layton Giordani.
For Crankdat, the collaboration marks yet another milestone amid the Ohio-born producer and DJ’s biggest year yet. After rising to the top of the bass scene on the back of his viral speed-run tutorials on TikTok and fun-loving bass cuts like “STFU” and “Ground Shake,” he’s become one of dance music’s most in-demand acts, leveling up his live show with major appearances at Red Rocks, the Tacoma Dome, Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall, and more.
