Kygo continues to make major real estate moves after the artist’s Palm Tree Crew purchased a championship golf course near Aspen, Colorado.
The Norwegian DJ’s lifestyle brand yesterday confirmed its acquisition of the River Valley Ranch golf course, a 187-acre property in the Crystal River Valley in Carbondale, in partnership with Major Food Group and 8K Capital.
Listed at $24.5 million, the mountain property, which currently operates as a pay-to-play public golf course, will be the site of a new golf experience that marries Major Food Group’s fine-dining restaurants with Palm Tree Crew’s lifestyle amenities and music events, according to a press release.
“Together, our goal is to honor what has made the course so beloved while thoughtfully elevating the experience—combining world-class golf with Major Food Group’s signature hospitality and culinary expertise, Palm Tree Crew’s cultural and lifestyle platform, and 8K Capital’s long-term investment vision,” Kygo’s longtime manager and Palm Tree Crew co-founder, Myles Shear, said in a statement.
He continued: “We’re proud to take on the stewardship of one of the Roaring Fork Valley’s premier golf destinations and to create a place that contributes meaningfully to the region’s community, culture, and continued growth. Aspen and golf have both been central to Palm Tree Crew’s story, making this partnership a natural extension of our shared commitment to the area.”
The golf course purchase follows another major real estate investment by Palm Tree Crew, which in May announced plans to build a Palm-Tree-branded residential apartment complex in downtown Miami, featuring 480 luxury condos, a rooftop beach club, wellness amenities, and live DJ events. In addition to real estate, Palm Tree Crew is known for helming international destination festivals and music events in locations such as the Hamptons, Hawaii, Australia, Singapore, and Napa Valley.
