Subtronics answered the call—“Bird Phone” is out now.
After nearly a year of hype, the dubstep superstar’s fan-favorite ID gets its awaited official release today on his own Cyclops Recordings label.
Repurposing the lifelike coo of 12-year-old bird-caller and internet sensation Samuel Henderson into a hard-hitting dubstep dial tone, the track has been a highlight of Subtronics’ globetrotting performances since it debuted in the producer and DJ’s headline performance at Decadence Arizona last year.
Having appeared in more landmark sets at Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, and beyond, “Bird Phone” lands during another massive summer of touring for the Philadelphia-based artist, who next month rolls on to more major appearances at Excision’s Lost Lands and John Summit’s Experts Only Festival before closing the year with the fourth edition of his curated weekender, Cyclops Cove.
