KinAhau and WIFE MATERIAL just dropped their underground heater, “Ladies and Gentlemen.”
The masterclass in tension lands today on ChaseWest’s Chaste Records as the latest of several head-turning tunes from the Mexican-born minimal tech starboy, who’s linked up with the masked producer to help launch the artist-curated label’s next chapter.
Thanks to regular plays by its principal producer and the label boss, the track’s lengthy build, punchy kicks, and crafty vocal sample have garnered “Ladies and Gentlemen” a cult-like following from fans across the global underground, many of whom have been locked on to KinAhau’s beats since he dropped his breakout track, “Different Side,” with Michael Bibi at the age of 19.
After a year of ups and downs with his own project and the label, ChaseWest posited the release as a defining moment for both KinAhau and Chaste in a note posted to Instagram yesterday. “My intro for the last couple months, a track that sonically represents the label, from one of my favorite producers, who’s become more like a brother than a friend, KinAhau, and the incredible WIFE MATERIAL,” he wrote.
