Armin van Buuren and DIØN have come together to unleash their awaited collaboration “Burn It Up.”
After debuting during Van Buuren’s show at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) last year, the driving techno track finally gets its official release today via Van Buuren’s own Armada Music, blending the label boss’ trance roots with DIØN’s hard dance signature in a high-profile meeting of Dutch heavyweights, joined by a vocal performance from English MC Scrufizzer.
Coming off major appearances for Awakenings, Verknipt, and Mysteryland, the track marks the next step in DIØN’s ongoing evolution beyond the hard techno sound with which he broke into the scene, following recent genre-defying singles such as “Come Alive,” “Taka Tribe,” and “Pulsation” that hint at a broader creative vision to come.
For Armin, it’s the latest in a long line of cross-genre productions that have built the Grammy-nominated artist’s two-decade catalog into one of the most sonically diverse on the global circuit.
