Stockholm’s Avicii Experience is commemorating the anniversary of the late artist’s last-ever show with a special event this weekend.
Taking place at The Node this Friday, August 28, the event will mark 10 years since the Swedish dance superstar’s final performance with a double-feature screening of two concert films: Avicii—My Last Show charts the DJ’s final performance at Ushuaïa Ibiza on August 28, 2016, while the second film unearths rare footage, performance highlights, and behind-the-scenes moments from his last show in his home country, held on August 5, 2016, at the Tallriken in Malmö.
Both shows came after Avicii announced he would retire from touring earlier in 2016. Two years later, he died by suicide in Oman at the age of 28.
The Avicii Experience anniversary event will run from 4PM to 9PM local time (CEST). Films will alternate every 30 minutes, with no need to book a specific show slot. Guests must be subscribed to the Avicii Experience newsletter and register in advance to attend.
