United Airlines To Offer First Nonstop Flights From U.S. To Ibiza

Ibiza nonstop flights

United Airlines will offer the first nonstop flights from the U.S. to Ibiza.

Just in time for the 2027 season, the carrier will launch a route directly from Newark to the Spanish island and clubbing hotspot in May 2027, running four times a week on the new Airbus A321XLR, United announced yesterday.

The new route comes as part of the largest international network expansion in the airline’s history, adding 10 new nonstop international flights out of San Francisco, Washington Dulles, and Newark to cities in Japan, France, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, and Italy.

Pending government approval, United will be the only U.S. airline offering nonstop flights to Ibiza, and the first to do so. Previously, American clubbers traveling to the island were required to take a layover in mainland Spain before flying across the Balearic Sea on a budget airline. Now, the new nonstop route gets American dance music fans one flight closer to world-famous superclubs like Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa, Pacha, and Amnesia.

In 2022, United launched a nonstop route from Newark to Palma de Mallorca, the first from the U.S. to the Balearics, giving vacationers improved access to the region’s other popular summer party destination.
