In one week, ARC Music Festival brings house and techno’s biggest names to Chicago, as the birthplace of house music comes alive on one of the Windy City electronic scene’s biggest festival weekends.
With performances by Michael Bibi, Mau P, Chris Stassy, Anyma, KI/KI, Sara Landry, I Hate Models, Prospa, Chase & Status, and Underworld in Union Park, plus 35 afterparty events happening across the city, it’s a Labor Day Weekend marathon that rivals the best music weeks across the country. And amid the festival’s first-ever four-day expansion this year, back from September 4-7, ARC’s sixth edition is shaping up to be its most momentous yet.

A history-making expansion
For the first time in the festival’s history, ARC has added a fourth day of programming in Union Park, a move that event co-founder John Curley announced as a way to “showcase more of the talent we love.” Between the festival and dozens of events across the city, the party runs from Thursday night to well into Tuesday morning.
More music than ever
The extra day has allowed ARC to book its biggest lineup yet, featuring performances from over 100 world-beating DJs spinning house, techno, and other electronic styles from across clubland.
This year’s bill is led by house heavyweights like Michael Bibi, Mau P, Chris Stassy, Prospa, Beltran, and Cloonee, and techno titans such as Anyma, Sara Landry KI/KI, I Hate Models, Nico Moreno, Brutalismus 3000, and 999999999. The schedule also features rare showings from drum & bass dons Chase & Status and UK rave pioneers Underworld, plus returning Chicago legends like Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter, The Blessed Madonna, and Hiroko Yamamura.
B2Bs you won’t find anywhere else
Beyond landmark solo performances, ARC has amassed a huge run of rare and never-before-seen B2Bs.
Pairings such as Adrián Mills B2B Fumi B2B Serafina, Boys Noize B2B Hiroko Yamamura, DJ Gigola B2B Skin On Skin, DJ Heartstring B2B Baugruppe90, Nia Archives B2B X CLUB., Quest B2B Ellen Allien, Silvie Loto B2B KinAhau, and Tiga B2B Brunello are slated for worldwide debuts at ARC 2026, while previously lauded partnerships like The Blessed Madonna B2B Lil’ Louis, Dennis Cruz B2B Ben Sterling, Omar+ B2B Obskür, and Sam Alfred B2B Club Angel bring their beats stateside for the first time.
New Midway stage
In place of the festival’s previous collaboration with elrow, ARC will debut its brand-new Midway stage this year. Named in a nod to Chicago’s Midway International Airport, the city’s historic Midway Plaisance, and the architectural legacy of the Southside park’s Midway Gardens, the fresh dance floor environment blends civic history with contemporary cultural identity, according to organizers, “leveraging the language of an international terminal to celebrate both house music’s global reach and its Chicago roots.”
Throughout the weekend, The Midway will host performances from Notre Dame, MEDUZA B2B Genesi, Luuk van Dijk B2B Sidney Charles, Nicole Moudaber B2B Paco Osuna B2B Dubfire, Mike Dunn, Walker & Royce B2B VNSSA, Matroda and San Pacho’s After Midnight, and many more.
Upgraded AREA 909
Named for the Roland TR-909 drum machine, ARC’s destination for underground sounds and bleeding-edge techno is getting a makeover this year. Details are limited, but the redesign marks a watershed moment in the evolution of AREA 909, a fan-favorite fixture of the festival that has spun off with several of its own flagship events during the rest of the year.
Live From Earth takeover
On Sunday, AREA 909 is anchored by an anticipated takeover from acclaimed Berlin collective Live From Earth.
Brutalismus 3000 headlines the night with their punky brand of hard dance and nu-gabber, joined by the world debut of DJ Gigiola B2B Skin On Skin, a cross-genre B2B from jungle revivalist Nia Archives and eurodance favorites X CLUB, and a live set from LFE staple and renaissance man MCR-T, as well as opening performances by EDM genre-weaver pluko and alt-electronic riser 10cust.
Afters as far as the eye can see
After the festival ends at 10PM each night, ARC After Dark keeps the party pumping with 35 afters and pre-parties happening nightly from Thursday to Monday at 10 venues across the city.
From appearances by Chris Stassy, Silva Bumpa, Mau P, and Anyma at Radius to Mochakk, Chase & Status, 9999999999, and I Hate Models next door at Cermak Hall, and dozens of other heavyweights playing Serum, Spybar, Metro, Smartbar, Outset, Concord Music Hall, and Smoke & Mirrors, it’s a late-night session you won’t want to miss.
