Daily Bread has released his new album, Vanishing Point.
The experimental bass heavyweight’s ninth full-length solo album arrives today, expanding the hip-hop and sample-heavy sonic universe that has made the Atlanta-hailing producer and DJ—born Rhett Whatley—one of his scene’s foremost innovators for well over a decade.
Alongside previously released singles “Soaring In The Sky,” “Til The Sun Burns Out,” and the crowd-favorite “A Long Time” with Late Night Radio, the 13-track project features anticipated new titles such as “Brown MTN Lights” and “Trouble,” as well as features from Jonah Cruzz, Kyle Lucas, and frequent collaborator STS.
“This new album is about the place on the horizon we’re always chasing yet never fully arrive at,” Daily Bread wrote on Instagram in July. “It’s about movement & places in the rearview, the unknown road ahead, and all the moments we collect trying to get there.”
The release lands ahead of a 28-date North American headline tour in support of the project, kicking off in Spokane on November 5, then hitting Portland, Minneapolis, Louisville, Cleveland, Buffalo, Washington, D.C., Raleigh, Nashville, and more cities through December 19. Daily Bread will be joined in support on select dates by ProbCause, Steller, Vincent Antone, pheel., and Zoska, among others.
