Bicep Announces New Album, Major Live Dates For 2027

BICEP

BICEP is flexing a new album and major tour dates in 2027.

The revered Belfast-born electronic duo revealed yesterday that their new album, ‘SLUG,’ will arrive on January 29 via Ninja Tune, marking their first full-length LP under their main project since 2021’s ‘Isles.’

Following last month’s release of album singles “Air,” “Lemonder,” and “Viper,” and three more new tracks dropped alongside the announcement yesterday—”Gas,” “Ultra,” and “Equarium”—they’ve now also confirmed two landmark upcoming live shows in London and New York City.

After ending a three-year BICEP LIVE hiatus at Royal Albert Hall in London next month, the duo will bring its heralded headline show to Knockdown Center in Queens on March 20, ahead of a historic performance on the banks of the River Thames at London’s Old Royal Navy College on July 31. The Navy College event is the first confirmed show of Labyrinth Events’ annual summer series at the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Soon to be six years on from their critically acclaimed second album, producers Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar have spent much of that time building CHROMA, their more ravey and experimental audiovisual show and label project. Conversely, with ‘SLUG,’ they aimed to broaden the focus,

“We wanted to make a much more varied album than our previous ones and push what people might expect BICEP to sound like,” the pair said in a statement.

In that vain, the album title ‘SLUG’ was inspired by “the stark contrast between the land slug most people immediately picture and the extraordinary colours, shapes and intricate forms of their underwater counterparts,” according to a press release.

Pre-sale registration for BICEP LIVE in New York and London is now open at the link in @feelmybicep’s bio. Registration closes at 11PM local time on Wednesday, October 28. Pre-sale ticket access begins Thursday, October 29, at 10AM local time. General on-sale begins Friday, October 30, at 10AM local time.
