Ahadadream is back with Skrillex and Raf-Saperra on his new single, “Bass Dohl.”
After the Pakistan-born, London-based artist collaborated with Skrillex on his breakout 2024 hit “TAKA,” he’s released the latest product of his studio sessions with the nine-time Grammy-winner today via Astralwerks.
In a distinct fusion of Punjabi dhol rhythms, pumping electronic beats, and vocals from Punjabi rap icon Raf-Sappera, “Bass Dohl” wraps the sounds of Ahadadream’s South Asian roots and UK club culture into a percussive party starter primed for the dance floor.
Drawing influence from across the UK, Pakistan, Africa, and South Asia, it’s a sound that has become Ahadadream’s signature, as the artist—born Ahad Elley—continues to emerge as a driving force for South Asian culture in the UK and club music at large.
“The beginnings of bass dhol were back in early 2023, when Sonny invited me to work on music together in Miami,” Ahadadream shared in a statement. “That’s when I played him some Raf Saperra too, he loved the vibe and we thought he’d be perfect for this track. Early versions of the track have been getting played since back then, so I’m super happy to finally see this officially going out into the world in its final form.”
