Airbnb’s Summer Icons Program: Stay In The ‘Up’ House + More

Ever dreamed of floating up, up, and away in the house from Disney Pixar’s Up? How about going on tour with your favorite musical artist? Now, you have a chance to do just that with Airbnb’s summer 2024 Icons Program.

Unveiled yesterday, the home rental platform’s new category of bookable experiences features run-ins and collaborations with some of the biggest names in music, film, television, art, sports and more.

“Icons take you inside worlds that only existed in your imagination—until now,” Airbnb co-founder and CEO Brian Chesky said in a press release. “As life becomes increasingly digital, we’re focused on bringing more magic into the real world. With Icons, we’ve created the most extraordinary experiences on Earth.”

Undoubtedly the centerpiece of Airbnb’s new class of Icons experiences is a stay Carl’s home from the 2009 Disney Pixar film, Up. Located in Abiquiu, New Mexico, the detailed re-creation is complete with over 8,000 balloons and even “floats” by way of crane suspension.

Further standout stays include slumbering on sportscar-grade leather at the Ferrari Museum, and overnight bookings at the 2D-styled X-Men Mansion from Marvel’s X-Men ’97 series, the Musée d’Orsay‘s famous clock room in Paris, and even Prince‘s legendary Purple Rain house.

Fans can also win a hangout with Kevin Hart, a living room serenade from Doja Cat, the chance to tour with reggaeton star Feid for a whole week, and an overnight gaming experience with TikTok sensation Khaby Lame in Milan, among other unique experiences.

Find a complete list of Airbnb’s summer 2024 Icons offerings here. Each experience is additionally listed in a special Icons category on the Airbnb homepage. Most experiences are free, and all are priced at under $100 per guest.

Hopeful guests must simply request a booking on the listing page for their preferred experience ahead of its closing date and time. A lucky 4,000 guests will be randomly selected for the various experiences.
