a.k.a skips Shares The 90s Influenced Single “F.T.N.U.”

a.k.a skips is bouncing into the scene with the techno-infused track, “F.T.N.U.,” a tribute to the early fundamental principles of dance music culture.

In 2021, the artist known as a.k.a skips made the decision to retire the Ducky project, embarking on a personal journey of transitioning as a transgender man and exploring new creative endeavors.

Now, after two years, this talented producer resurfaces with a fresh identity, unveiling a brand new alias and eagerly presenting an all-out and all-encompassing creative vision to the world.

The 90s-infused and warehouse-inspired track “F.T.N.U.” standing for “Fuck Up the Night”  absorbs listeners in a nostalgic atmosphere, brimming with resounding club synthesizer progressions, mesmerizing high-hats, and captivating vocal samples.

Showcasing a timeless quality while embodying the essence of the punk ethos, it serves as an incendiary electronic composition, simultaneously embodying queer rebellion, reflecting the intrinsic alignment with a.k.a skips’ new-found sound.

When talking about “F.T.N.U” a.k.a skips stated, “I’m trying to recreate the feeling I had at 13 when my friend’s mom dropped us off at an unpermitted rave under an overpass in San Francisco. No pressure, no rules, maybe a little nostalgia now that I’m an adult, but music that’s really just meant for you to lose it to. Let go and dance!”
