International pop sensation Katy Perry is once again dipping her toes in the world of dance music with her latest collaboration. Together with EDM superstar Alesso, Perry will release “When I’m Gone” on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Click here to pre-save.
The pop power duo teased the new single with an Instagram post wherein Perry plainly states “I just think it’s time to give them everything they want,” and Alesso responds with an equally plain “Let’s do it.” From the brief audio in the video, apparently what everyone wants is a vocal-driven house music track underpinned with forward-moving basslines.
Watch the full snippet below. The official music video for “When I’m Gone” will premiere on January 10, 2022, during the halftime show for the College Football Playoff National Championship on ESPN.
