In the leadup to her Halloween festival performances, Alison Wonderland just debuted a single and video for her hopeful new anthem “Down The Line.”
The song begins lonely, with Alison’s vocals at the center of the music accompanied by an acoustic guitar. But as the song swells and builds, she’s joined by a chorus of voices saying “I’m going to be OK down the line.”
The message of hope in loneliness is further emphasized by the video which follows a trio of downtrodden motivational speakers for the “Down The Line” movement. The video was directed by Alison’s frequent collaborator Prad Sen and produced by Fiona Dunn.
Alison Wonderland said about “Down The Line,” “We need the dark times in order to get to the light. We need that experience to know that it’s going to be okay one day. The track is me acknowledging that I was alone during a difficult time but knew that I was going to get through it and be okay, down the line. We’re all going through a dark time right now, and sometimes we need to be reminded that it’s going to be okay. No matter what happens, we will be okay.”
Alison Wonderland’s new album Loner has amassed over 65 million combined streams since its release adding to the celebrated producer’s nearly one billion total global listens.
