Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte have announced their debut collaborative EP, One Mind.
The pair of techno icons confirmed on Instagram today that the long-awaited project will arrive on February 6, marking a historic convergence of two of the genre’s modern heroes.
As two of Belgium’s leading DJs and producers, Lens and De Witte have crossed paths plenty while shaping techno’s current sound across a bevy of chart-topping solo releases, massive headline performances, and tastemaking with their respective EXHALE and KNTXT labels, but One Mind will mark the first time they’ve teamed up in the studio for an official release.
“It’s hard to put in words how much this means for both of us,” Lens and De Witte wrote in a joint statement. “We tried to create two tracks that represent us and blend our sonic identities together.”
Lens’ uplifting and atmospheric beats and De Witte’s high-octane acid stylings are now set to collide across two tracks, “Where Do We Go” and the title production, “One Mind.”
Both tunes are due to drop one week after the duo plays B2B for the first time ever at a pair of shows coming to the 20,000-capacity Flanders Expo in Ghent, Belgium, this weekend. They’ll also play a third gig on February 8. All three shows are now sold out.
