Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte will play back-to-back for the first time ever during a two-night run of shows at Belgium’s Flanders Expo.
The pair of Belgian techno icons announced the news on social media today that they will play B2B on January 31 and February 1, 2025, at the 20,000-capacity venue in Ghent, which has played host to several of de Witte’s hometown KNTXT label takeovers. A full support lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.
“BACK TO BACK! This is the one you’ve been waiting for..” Lens and de Witte wrote in a joint social media post today.
Last week, Lens and de Witte fanned the flames of anticipation for a potential collaboration with two cryptic social media posts hinting at a “surprise” to be announced today.
Though fans will have to wait for new music from the pair, the B2B announcement marks a watershed moment in their careers as a coming together of two of techno’s most influential artists, who have pushed the genre forward across their chart-topping releases, massive headline performances, and respective label endeavors with EXHALE and KNTXT.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join forces with Charlotte,” Lens said in a statement. “The time has finally come to unite and create something truly unique and special for our communities. We’re one scene, united by our unstoppable love for the music!”
De Witte added, “Flanders Expo, I’m back! It’s our fourth year at Flanders Expo and for this edition, we’re going above and beyond with not one, but two nights. It feels incredibly right to join focus with Amelie Lens, our paths have crossed many, many times and it’s been fantastic to see us both grow in this ever changing techno scene. This is Belgian techno united, and this will be huge.”
