Long known as a vital hub for industry education on top of its killer events, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has announced the preliminary speakers for this year’s curated ADE Lab programming.
An offshoot of ADE’s weeklong dance music celebration, ADE Lab works to support rising producers, DJs, and industry pros with workshops, studio sessions, panel talks, and networking opportunities.
Running from October 19-22, this year’s program will include a Resident Advisor-hosted conversation with American techno giant DVS1, DJ set curation tips from Danish artist Mama Snake, and a special Filth on Acid Demo Drop with label head Reinier Zonneveld.
Other ADE Lab events include “The Art of Vinyl DJing” with Héctor Oaks and Van Anh, as well as talks from Darude, Nostalgix, and the synthesizer education program Modular Moon.
Femme Bass Mafia – a DJ mentoring program for women, trans, and non-binary people – will host a workshop at ADE Lab alongside a live edition of Amsterdam duo Parallelle’s “A Day In…” series.
Organizers promise that ADE Lab will be “even more hands-on than last year,” and have announced new on-site courses in a number of production, artist, and professional disciplines.
Attendees who complete the courses will receive a discount on the event’s coveted ADE Pro Pass for next year.
ADE Lab guests can also test out the hottest new tech from Ableton, AIAIAI Audio, Roland, and more. Music licensing platforms CollabHouse and SAE Institute will also team up to host challenges and demo drops exclusive to ADE.
Eager audiophiles can grab tickets to ADE Lab’s 2023 programming here.
