Amsterdam Dance Event, Adventures Part 2

After a couple days of exploring Amsterdam Dance Event, it is time for the real deal. In the weekend, the schedule got even busier. More time to party and check out events, and less time sleep. We continue the story in this part.

Friday: So Much to Do in a Little Time.

We started the day late, with the Late Night Talks in de school. De school, is one of the coolest clubs in the world. Basically it is an old school transformed to a 24/7 licensed club. So many different events go on during the week, and so many different rooms inside. During ADE, the Club hosted so many different events. From charity football (Soccer) games, to talks, and of course club events the club was in a Full force.

Then, it was time catch one of ADE music talks. The guest this time was the Dubfire. The SCI+TEC label owner talked about his 25+ years career, and answered Q&A’s from the audience.

After a small break, it was a time for a very special and unique event. A bicycle path Under the Rijksmuseum “The national Dutch museum” transformed to host a one-of-a-kind event hosted by Audio Obscura and Maceo Plex. The American DJ/producer through a party for 2000 fans were lucky to attend the event for free. It was really something you can only do in Amsterdam.

As the night starting, it was the time for a special event. The Legend Tiësto was celebrating his 500 episode of his radio show Clublife. We couldn’t miss this event, it was only once in a lifetime chance.  The Dutch legend performed a special 6 hours set in front of more than 15,000 people in the Ziggo Dome. Fans from all over the world traveled just to celebrate this milestone in Tiësto’s career. It was an emotional night to many of his fans.

After a couple hours with Tiësto, we head out to check ENTER presents Experiences at Loveland. Richie Hawtin started early, as he was presenting his continuing experiment as seen only at Sónar Festival, Exit Festival, Dour Festival and Marsatac. Combining live cameras and visuals, bringing the audience even-closer to his unique way of performing. It was a very special set by the techno legend, followed by Recondite who was debuting his live visual show in the Netherlands for the first time. Those two sets were one of the most unique and special sets we experienced this year. The party did not stop, but we had to head out to another one.

We left to check out Awakenings, a night hosted by the dutch legend Joris Voorn. Back at the Gashouder, words cannot describe how awesome is that building. Call it the techno temple, or Awakenings spaceship, it is really one of a kind building that you must party in ones in your life. Voorn himself with Andhim, Apollonia, Kölsch, and others delivered an amazing nights for all the techno lovers. We left at 8:00 am, it was time to get some sleep as we head to Saturday.

Saturday: A Crazy 24 hours non-stop experience.

I don’t know how to start this, but let me tell you. We ended up going to so many different events and parties for 24 hours straight. Let us take you back with us to this crazy experience.

14:00 – We woke up, with some coffee we were able to function again. We headed out to Dockyard daytime festival. The multi room event is taking place in an old dockyard.

19:00 – It was time for some Drum N’ Bass. Netsky brought his live tour to Paradiso, an old church turned to music hall. It was a crazy sold out show, the room was full with so many bass heads.

22:00 – After a quick dinner, we went to check out Circoloco at Loveland. With an all star lineup featuring Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Jackmaster, Art Department, and many other the ibiza famous event hosted one of the most amazing ADE nights.

02:00 – It was time for Gashouder again. Joseph Capriati hosted a night inviting an amazing friends including DJ Tennis, Pan-Pot, Sven Väth. This was one of the craziest and amazing nights ever. Everyone delivered an amazing set, but we can tell you that Pan-Pot destroyed the stage that night. It was the set of the night, if not the best set we ever saw this year at ADE.

08:00 – The night did not finish yet. It was time for the Breakfast Club, one of the most unique experiences during ADE. And yes, they serve breakfast! The club opens at 7 Am, and go on until 6 Pm on Saturday and Sunday! It is one of the best afterparty experiences we ever witnessed. After couple hours, it was time to get some sleep as we head to Saturday.

12:00 – At noon, you think we’re done. Nope! It was time for Erlow, the most fun night in ibiza. They hosted an after hours themed party on Sunday. An experience where spectacle, music, color, and happiness get together to create that unique and involving experience. Even though we were exhausted, we really had so much fun!

14:30 – We wanted to stay more, but our buddies couldn’t. Time for some sleep, or maybe power naps for some of us!

This summed up our 24 hours crazy experience, try it at your own risk, and remember always to pace yourself.

Sunday: The final day.

After a really quick nap, some of us wanted to check AMF. So we head to Amsterdam ArenA to catch the one and only Dillon Francis. Dillon is one of those who always gets the party going. With the beats of the moombahton and his funny visuals, it is always fun!

After some fun times at the ArenA, we head out to de school again as they host HET WEEKEND. It a monthly event where the club starts from saturday night tell monday morning non stop! We caught Dixon again for another amazing set, as well as other acts.

To end ADE, there is no better place than Hyte. Loco dice hosted a night with an amazing lineup. He played four hours set B2B with The Martinez Brothers. We cannot describe that set, it was crazy, dark, and so good to end a crazy week with. Everyone was dancing, even though it was day 5 of ADE. The party went until 8am, and again it was the perfect ending.

HYTE, the Brand that successfully debuted in the world famous Amnesia Ibiza, and sold out events in Amsterdam, New York, and Barcelona. They were back in Amsterdam, and succeeded again! If you didn’t know yet, they’re hosting the most amazing NYE night in the Techno capital Berlin. Check out their event page, and thank us later.

After 5 days of fun, we can tell again Amsterdam Dance Event is the best place to enjoy all kind of dance music. Amsterdam is one of the best party cities in the world, but during ADE turns into a huge playground for party lovers. Look at the numbers and judge by yourself. This year, more than 375,000 attended the event traveling from all over the world. With 452 festival events, 396 conference events, and 416 playground events, you cannot deny the fact that this is the biggest dance music gathering ever.

More than 2200 DJs performed and delivered unforgettable moments, and more than 550 speakers shared their experiences.
It was good to be back, and sure we will be back again next year. You should too! Head to the ADE website and sign up for ADE’17 updates.
