The 28th edition of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has come to an end, but organizers have already begun preparations for next year, today announcing that ADE 2024 will take place from October 16-20, 2024.
This year’s massive industry gathering welcomed a record number of 500,000 visitors throughout its festival and conferences over the course of five days along with more than 2,900 artists at over 1,000 events and initiatives spread throughout 200 locations city-wide.
Standout events from ADE’s 2023 musical program included an exciting opening event at Amsterdam’s famous Rijksmuseum with upsammy, Tinlicker, and the famous Metropole Orkest, a once-in-a-lifetime B2B from KI/KI and Armin van Buuren, curated shows from industry greats like Speedy J and Martin Garrix, and much more.
On top of ADE’s incredibly successful music events, the festival’s famous ADE Pro Conference extended from four days to five for the first time this year, welcoming artists, industry professionals, and influential companies to the city’s Felix Meritis “to cover the strategies, opportunities, and responsibilities that define the music industry.”
ADE Pro 2023 hosted tech experts from Google, TuneCore, Spotify, Beatport, and more to discuss everything from artificial intelligence to streaming, and provide real insider knowledge to its attendees.
2023 also marked the start of the all-new ADE Startups program, beginning a year-long mentorship and development program for music startups and international event organizers.
ADE Pro also invited world-class artists like legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash, The Blessed Madonna, Röyksopp, and Max Cooper to provide industry insights, in addition to hosting two special live performances from the latter two artists.
Back for a second year in 2023, the festival’s ADE Lab gave over 2,000 young producers, and aspiring professionals a chance to learn technical skills and get feedback from talented artists like Reinier Zonneveld, Mama Snake, A-Trak, and more.
If ADE’s 2023 highlights are any indication, ADE 2024 will be even more spectacular when the dance music world converges on Amsterdam again next October.
