Armin van Buuren Sets Release Date For Ninth Studio Album, ‘Breathe In’

Trance legend Armin van Buuren has just announced the forthcoming release of his ninth full-length studio album, Breathe In, due to be released on January 12, 2024, on Armada Music.

Written over the two-plus years following the COVID-19 pandemic, the new album is inspired by the global dance music community’s joyous return to the dance floor. It is the next step in a narrative that commenced with van Buuren’s Feel Again LP, released in March of this year.

While Feel Again was an exploration of van Buuren’s “connection with himself and the music he loves,” Breathe In is all about his strong connection with his fans.

The A State of Trance maestro has shared that Breathe In adopts a higher bpm to create a more positive sound, highlighting “music’s ability to unite whilst urging listeners to celebrate life, see the light in others, and (re)connect on dancefloors.”

In addition to the release of Feel Again, the year 2023 has seen van Buuren cultivate a massive worldwide following of over 40 million listeners through his weekly A State of Trance radio show and events series.

Hot on the heels of the new album release, the A State of Trance festival will be an excellent chance for van Buuren’s devoted fans to hear tunes from the new Breathe In project in person when the festival makes its Rotterdam debut in February.
