The Ukrainian duo ARTBAT just launched their fifth release off their brand new UPPERGROUND imprint and it’s overflowing with emotion.
The track, entitled “Origin“, is a collaboration between Argentinean artist Shall Ocin and Italian-Canadian vocalist braev. It links to the duo’s home country and the political turmoil affecting their community. “Origin” is beautifully cinematic, with synths and lyrics creating an emotive atmosphere. The touching and powerful track is further supported by poignant vocals and piano. The producers came together at Sonar in Barcelona where Shall Ocin performed alongside ARTBAT
It has nearly been a year since the launch of ARTBAT’s UPPERGROUND imprint and the label recently hosted its second event. The title of the label is meant to represent the type of music they intend to put out: music that exists outside of definitions like “commercial” or “underground,” and is instead simply fit for all occasions.
But 2022 is a landmark year for ARTBAT’s performances at well. They recently returned from a masterful set at Tomorrowland right after a wild B2B with David Guetta in Ibiza. Not to mention their first performance at Coachella this past April, making that two of the biggest festivals in the world in one year.
