The 10th anniversary of downtown Las Vegas’s staple festival, Life is Beautiful, is almost upon us.
Taking place September 22-24 smack dab in the middle of DTLV, Life is Beautiful is a center of art, local experiences, and of course top-notch music.
And with this multi-genre lineup stacked with nonstop DJs, bands, and singers, we here, as the EDM experts at EDM Maniac, have five performances you can’t miss at Life is Beautiful 2023:
1. Roosevelt
For fans of SG Lewis, Purple Disco Machine, or Franc Moody‘s funky electronic sound, Roosevelt is a must-see act.
This German producer and DJ may have popped on your radar due to his remixes for CHVRCHES, Flight Facilities, or (one of the top-selling artists in the world) Taylor Swift, but he is now making a name for himself with a new album.
The album, entitled Embrace, was written, recorded, and produced entirely by Roosevelt as he traveled around the world working in improvised studios in order to spark his creativity.
Embrace is his most personal LP yet, inspired by turning 30 and realizing the difference in his lifestyle between childhood friends with “real jobs” and his life touring as well as leaning into an indie/funk electronic sound with elements of 80s disco, Joni Mitchell, and Jackson Browne.
This performance is part of Roosevelt’s biggest tour yet and promises to bring his sound to life in a whole new way.
2. Flume
Also celebrating a ten-year milestone is the chart-topping headliner, Flume.
It’s hard to believe it’s already been ten years since Flume first came on the scene with his self-titled album and game-changing tracks like “Drop The Game,” “Holding On,” and his viral remix of “Tennis Court,” only just made available on Spotify.
Fans can expect plenty of 2013 nostalgia from his latest album of unreleased tracks, Things Don’t Always Go The Way You Plan, as well as the dreamy, otherworldly modern stylings of 2022’s Palaces.
No matter which style you prefer, expect something big for the joint tenth-anniversary set.
3. BLOND:ISH x Blue Man Group
House icon and sustainability advocate BLOND:ISH joins forces with the colorful comedy team Blue Man Group for a performance unlike anything you’ll see on another festival stage.
BLOND:ISH is the founder of the nonprofit Bye Bye Plastic as well as the label boss behind Abracadabra. She’s well known for her high-energy sound and variety of collaborations with hit-makers like Francis Mercier, Diplo, and Madonna.
Blue Man Group is a Las Vegas icon recognized by their blue faces and wacky antics often with a musical element that results in an off-the-charts explosion of color, light, and production.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration that simply screams “Las Vegas.”
4. TSHA
London-based artist TSHA is an addictive blend of progressive house, Afro-house, rave, and dance-pop pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
Inspired by deeper creatives like Floating Points, Bonobo, and Jon Hopkins, she’s recently received notice due to her work with highly sought-after vocalists like Ellie Goulding and Aluna.
Life is Beautiful closes out her 2023 summer tour that traveled all across the world from Parklife Festival in Manchester to Ibiza, Defected Croatia, and more.
5. salute
salute’s sound can be described as bright, euphoric, and emotional, but the longstanding producer, remixer, and creative has a variety of influences and talents.
Born and raised in Vienna, Austria, salute began producing at the early age of 13 when he first became obsessed with British dance music including grime, garage, and drum & bass.
His sound has evolved as he’s grown up in the music scene from lighter, down-tempo beats to more dance-centric and sparkling tracks like the viral “Peach” with Sammy Virji, “Joy,” and “Therapy.”
But he may be best known for his ability to transform popular tracks in his remixes for industry legends like Todd Edwards, DJ Seinfeld, Kehlani, SG Lewis, Sam Smith, The Prototypes, and Sub Focus.
