Avicii’s Personal Items Set For Charity Auction For Tim Bergling Foundation

Avicii

A collection of Avicii’s personal belongings is set to be auctioned for charity in Stockholm this fall.

Over 265 items owned by the late EDM superstar—aka Tim Bergling—from sneakers and clothes to musical instruments and other memorabilia related to his career, will be auctioned at Stockholms Auktionsverk, the world’s oldest auction house, on October 1. All proceeds will support the Tim Bergling Foundation, the mental health non-profit founded in his honor after his death by suicide in 2018.

“Given Tim’s lack of attachment to material things, his family decided that a charity auction is the most natural solution, with the proceeds directed towards The Tim Bergling Foundation,” reads a page on the auction website. “This auction will support the Foundation’s work for young people’s mental health and other causes close to Tim’s heart, such as endangered animals, nature, and climate. This way, Tim’s belongings can contribute to the positive change he always sought to inspire.”

“Tim Bergling touched countless people around the world, and continues to do so both through his music and through the foundation that his family has established in his name. It is a true honor to be able to help The Tim Bergling Foundation to in turn help even more young people,” added Stockholms Auktionsverk CEO Cecilia Gave.

Auction items will be available to browse online starting September 6, with a limited number of printed auction catalogs available here. In-person viewings of the entire collection will be open to the public at the auction house from September 24-30.

Next month, the Tim Bergling Foundation will helm another edition of its annual Dance For Life initiative, which raises awareness around mental health and suicide among young people by orchestrating student participation in choreographed dances at schools across Sweden.
