Awakenings Upclose Returns With Massive Techno Lineup For 2025

Awakenings is back with the full 2025 lineup for Upclose, the Dutch promoter’s intimate techno gathering.

After a sold-out debut this past spring, Awakenings’ Upclose, a smaller counterpart to the party outfit’s over 100,000-strong Awakenings Summer Festival, will return to Spaarnwoude Park in Amsterdam on May 17-18, 2025.

Set among the trees with artful stripped-back production and tasteful selections from a gauntlet of the planet’s best techno selectors, Upclose is all about the dancefloor, with a lineup to show for it.

Immediate standouts in yesterday’s reveal include pioneering Detroit artist Jeff Mills, Dutch acid techno darling KI/KI, Berghain staple Ben Klock, fellow German stalwart Rødhåd, a live performance from Traumer, and a rare acid set from 999999999, among 65 total performances.

As in its first edition, much of Upclose’s 2025 lineup is made up of collaborative sets, with anticipated pairings like Adiel B2B Ogazón, Anetha B2B Patrick Mason, and Stranger B2B Truncate

Adding a bit of eclectic flavor, the festival will also feature performances from UK garage’s old and new guard in genre legend DJ EZ and rising star Diffrent, house groovers Chris Stussy B2B Sally C, genre-blending underground talent DJ Fuckoff, and in-demand hard techno artists like Charlie Sparks, Kobosil, and more. Check out the full lineup below.
