Renowned Atlanta-based promoter and live event media outlet DEF is teaming up with Loud Crowd and Full Circle Presents to bring a 360-degree set to Tennesee’s iconic subterranean venue, The Caverns, for the first time ever.
On Saturday, May 11, 2024, DEF360° will welcome a headline “in the round” performance from Barclay Crenshaw, who is currently gearing up for the release of his anticipated sophomore album, Open Channel, after retiring his house alias Claude VonStoke to dive deeper into his love for bass music.
Last week, he shared “Stay Together” with TeeZandos, a second single from the forthcoming album due out on March 8.
“Cavernnnssss! this is a bucket list venue for me to be able to play inside the cave and I’m hyped to be doing this show,” Crenshaw wrote on Instagram.
Crenshaw’s cave performance will align perfectly with the end of his upcoming Open Channel Tour, serving as an emphatic closing party for the first leg of his new bass endeavor before things ramp up even further for festival season this summer.
He will be joined by an impressive crew of supporting bass players at the DEF360° event, including tiedye ky, The Librarian, Great Dane and Dublink.
With this roster of genre-defying bass artists, the event will see DEF build its already esteemed reputation as part of the 2024 DEF Tour, bringing top electronic talent to unconventional spaces across the country, from warehouses to bridges to tunnels and now caves.
To celebrate this cornerstone moment in DEF and The Caverns’ legendary histories, DEF will capture each set in 4K to be published on their DEF TV YouTube channel. They’ll also publish audio recordings of the sets online via Apple Music and will have new DEF Caverns merchandise on sale at the event.
Fans can register for pre-sale access to DEF360° with Barclay Crenshaw at The Caverns here. Pre-sale access will begin this Friday, February 16 at 11AM CT. General on-sale will follow on the same date at 2PM CT.
