Beatport is once again supporting diversity and equity in the music industry with their Diversity + Parity Fund, this time increasing the grant amount by 50%.
The online marketplace and music platform has been an important resource for amateur and professional DJs alike for almost 20 years, and it’s now looking to further dedicate itself to supporting underrepresented groups in music.
In their second annual Diversity + Parity Fund, Beatport will offer even more financial support, editorial exposure, and marketing across Beatport’s social media platforms to help organizations with similar goals increase their impact and reach a wider audience.
Last year, the grant distributed $100,000 to three organizations: Lady Of The House, Future Female Sounds, and #FORTHEMUSIC. This year, it is expanding by increasing the fund and establishing two separate channels.
The award is now $150,000 and has two offer streams: one for smaller organizations ($3,000 to $15,000) and one for larger organizations ($15,000 to $30,000).
Beatport hopes to support all types of initiatives, from smaller grassroots organizations to larger, multi-level brands, all in their mission to amplify previously silenced voices in the community.
The application process will open on July 25 at 12PM GMT and close on August 22 at 12PM GMT. For more details and submission guidelines, check out the website here.
