Refund news has finally been announced for those who attended Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge 2023 after a shooting took place at the campgrounds.
Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella posted on his Instagram story that a 50% refund will be offered to all two-day ticket holders. Sunday ticket holders will be fully refunded.
Furthermore, attendees can donate their refunds to the families of those killed in the shooting, Josilyn Ruiz and her fiancé Brandy Escamilla.
An official email from Insomniac’s ticket partner, Front Gate Tickets, has been sent with refund information and attendees can log into their Front Gate accounts to donate.
On June 17, 2023, at around 8:23PM local time, a man open fired into the Gorge Gate H campground during Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge, indiscriminately targeting festival goers.
The campground is about a 15-minute walk from the festival site where most attendees were gathered to dance and listen to music.
Two people were killed as a result, with three injured including the shooter.
The festival community is still shaken from this tragedy, but other Insomniac festivals like Electric Forest have been increasing safety measures to quell fears.
