Big Gigantic And SMOAKLAND’s ‘Always Wanna Talk’ EP Has Everyone Talking

Rukes

Big Gigantic has released their first EP since 2022, teaming up with SMOAKLAND to drop Always Wanna Talk on Deadbeats.

This two-track EP flawlessly blends the two duo’s sounds, creating a funky soundtrack for the summer. First teased on stage at Red Rocks last year (EDMMY-winning venue), fans are so excited these songs are finally out.

The EP begins with “Always Wanna Talk,” an experimental dubstep banger that has a simple premise: don’t just talk, take action. Mainly instrumental with a few rap lines thrown in throughout, “Always Wanna Talk” serves as a record to turn on when you just want to feel better and headbang in the process.

The standout track on the EP is “Disco Fever” as it actually isn’t a disco-styled track at all.

While the beginning starts off with what listeners think is a disco beat and a spoken word intro about the “disco scene,” it is a fake out. Once the beat drops, this tune is a heavy hitter with one of the nastiest drops of the year.

Both tracks combine the best of Big Gigantic and SMOAKLAND.

Big G’s blend of electronic music and live instruments as well as SMOKLAND’s distinct style of dubstep create an EP that is sure to make any live set (or car ride) spectacular.
