Black Coffee is set to add another iconic venue to his performance repertoire, today announcing a headline gig at Red Rocks this spring.
The groundbreaking afro-house artist will bring his R&B and jazz-infused cuts to Morrison, Colorado’s legendary open-air venue on May 11, 2024. Produced by Live Nation, the show will feature support performances from fellow house music innovators like piano house virtuoso LP Giobbi, Ibiza mainstay THEMBA and Detroit legend DJ Holographic.
“I look forward to massive moments like this with you all very soon,” Black Coffee wrote on Instagram in anticipation of the show.
The South African producer’s upcoming Red Rocks debut is just the latest in a string of huge performances by the artist at historic venues in the last year.
Just one month after playing Manchester’s Warehouse Project for the first time, Black Coffee headlined Madison Square Garden in October 2023, a historic first for the Grammy-winning producer and a significant moment for dance music at large.
Monumental residencies in Ibiza and Las Vegas, a 2022 Grammy award for his Subconsciously LP, and an executive production credit on Drake’s house-inspired album Honestly, Nevermind have further underscored Black Coffee’s instrumental role in bringing afro-house to mainstream appeal in recent years.
Yesterday, Black Coffee confirmed that he will return to Hï Ibiza for another residency in 2024, promising “21 more weeks of magic” throughout the summer season.
Tickets to Black Coffee at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre will go on sale here, this Friday, February 23 at 10AM local time.
