Boiler Room Acquired By European Festival Organizer Superstruct Entertainment

Boiler Room

Boiler Room is now under new ownership.

Announced today, January 15, the longstanding UK-based event series and livestream outfit has been acquired by European festival organizer Superstruct Entertainment for an undisclosed fee.

Boiler Room’s previous owner, the ticketing platform DICE, purchased the electronic music brand in 2021. In July, Bloomberg reported that DICE was in advanced talks to sell a significant stake in its company—just over two years after it announced it secured close to $65 million in new funding.

“As we turn 15 and enter our next stage of growth, we’re excited to be partnering with Superstruct for this chapter,” Boiler Room founder Blaise Bellville said in a statement. “We feel in good company with their roster of brands, they offer us new opportunities to grow, while understanding the importance of staying true to the authenticity that, at its core, is what makes Boiler Room special.”

Superstuct owns over 80 live music events, including dance festivals like DGTL, Mysteryland, Parookaville, Brunch Electronik, Sziget, and Sónar Festival. In June 2024, Superstruct was purchased by global investment firms KKR and CVC for close to $1.4 billion, according to a report from the Financial Times.

A statement on the transaction confirms that its team will remain in charge of the business under Superstruct’s ownership, and that Boiler Room will “retain its identity with active support for their development through Superstruct’s global resources and expertise.”

A Superstruct representative confirmed to Billboard that Boiler Room will continue to generate revenue with brand partnerships, ticket events and its branded merchandise.

The platform’s YouTube videos are known to garner millions of views—Fred again..’s viral 360-degree set from 2022 currently sits at over 41 million, for example—but Boiler Room can’t monetize them because they don’t own the rights to the music played in the sets, a common licensing hurdle for many dance music brands in the livestream era.
