Boogie T Announces Jam & Bass-Fueled July 4th “Blocka Party” In Austin

Boogie T

Boogie T is hosting a big-time block party in Texas for the Fourth of July.

The Bayou-born dubstep artist will touch down at the Far Out Lounge in Austin on July 4, where he’ll deliver two headline sets, one under his famously wonky flagship project and one with his longtime live jam group, Boogie T.rio.

In partnership with promoters Disco Presents and Special Delivery, the July 4th “Blocka Party,” will also feature special guest performances from glitch-hop favorite Opiuo and UK dubstep torchbearer Distinct Motive, along with additional support from Austeria, Mystic Methods, Austin rockers Nether Hour, and Boogie T.rio drummer Frank “Animal Drums” Castro.

True to the band’s Southern roots, the open-air event will bring the flavors of Louisiana to Austin with a Cajun seafood boil, along with local vendors, art, and games. Check out the official announcement below.

Earlier this year, Boogie T.rio wrapped up their fourth headline appearance at Red Rocks, and are slated to perform at Electric Forest, Florida Groves, Ganja White Night’s Wobble Coliseum, and more later this summer.

Tickets for Boogie T’s July 4th Blocka Party in Austin go on sale here tomorrow, Friday, May 9, at 10AM CT. For more information, visit the artist’s Instagram page.
