Turkish-born, Miami-based singer-songwriter, DJ and producer Bora Uzer has released his new EP, No Talking.
The clubby three-tracker arrives today on Uzer’s own OJO imprint and follows the house artist’s dual single Street Love / Magic Kind, released on New York’s famous Nervous Records last month. With the Pacha Ibiza resident’s White Isle season now in full swing, No Talking sets the stage for a summer filled with infectious rhythms and dynamic soundscapes.
The EP’s title track, “No Talking,” opens with a swirling concoction of rhythmic acid stabs and sharp kick drums, building to maximum squelch and critical mass before skittish hi-hats and a doppler-esque whistle give way to deep bounding basslines and mellow string flourishes, mirroring the musical immersion that’s hooked fans in Uzer’s gigs from Tulum to Medellín.
The sonic journey continues on “Passenger,” a downright dancefloor heater dominated by pulsating staccato synths and syncopated rhythms, while “No Talking” gets a blissful remix on track three, flipping the original into an instant-classic house groove.
No Talking marks the third release on Uzer’s OJO label, following his imprint-launching 2023 single “I Will Find You” and its ensuing four-track remix package.
Following landmark spring performances at Zamna Festival and Tomorrowland’s CORE, Uzer’s jam-packed 2024 will continue with major appearances at Tomorrowland Belgium, UNTOLD Festival, and Solid Grooves’ iconic residency at DC-10 Ibiza, all while holding it down at Pacha for the club’s weekly Flower Power party.
