The touring festival is back for its second edition in the ATL on May 15-16, returning to Georgia State’s Center Parc Stadium with performances from over 20 international touring DJs. New this year, the main stage moves inside the stadium.

From the sounds of John Summit, FISHER, Kaskade, Mau P, PEEKABOO, and LYNY, to good eats, kick-off parties, and afters, there’s plenty happening at the festival and across the city for Breakaway weekend. Get all the details below.

Start early

Breakaway Atlanta is just over one week away, and there’s only one more weekend to get in on all the action in the build-up. Across the city, several official Breakaway preparties roll on this week. With on-site giveaways at each event, fans can enter for a chance to win free festival tickets and merch.

The hype continues with a joint party from local outfits Sexy People Music and Rhythm Release at Sunset Atlanta tonight, Monday, May 4, before the schedule picks up this weekend. On Friday, May 8, ATL house collective Velvet Room sets up shop at Azzura Lounge with local DJs Sirluke, Truthis, Marc Flight, and Rhannya, while Necropolis Presents brings SEVNN and more heavy dubstep artists to The Faux Rest. Then, it’s a final kickoff event featuring Bogi for Industry Night at Bottles & Chimney on Monday, May 11.

Getting there

Located on campus at Georgia State University, in the heart of downtown Atlanta’s Summerhill neighborhood, Breakaway’s site at Center Parc Stadium is conveniently located for students at Georgia State and other schools across Metro Atlanta, and centrally situated in the sixth-most populated city in the U.S. It’s also less than a four-hour drive from 11 major cities across the region.

On site at the festival, Breakaway Dallas features plenty of food and beverage vendors serving hot food, cold drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages, including branded activations and freebies from Celsius, White Claw, BeatBox, Jack Daniel’s, Hiyo, and Jimmy John’s.

But to ensure you’re fueled before and after the party, there are plenty of local restaurants and bars in the neighborhood where fans can grab a bite or sip a pre-fest cocktail. Try famous eats like Reuben’s Deli, Rosa’s Pizza, and Baraka Shawarma. Grab coffee at Cafe Lucia or a salad bowl at Gusto. Stroll down the Broad Street Boardwalk for a host of restaurants, from locally owned spots to national chains.

Bust a move

After touching down in Dallas, Tampa, and Arizona, Breakaway Atlanta continues the festival’s 13-stop tour for 2026 with a lineup of top dance talent to keep you moving all night long. Unfolding across two stages, this year’s bill is led by house and techno heavyweights such as John Summit, FISHER, Kaskade, Mau P, Layton Giordani, and Max Styler alongside dubstep favorites like PEEKABOO, LYNY, Kai Wachi, and LAYZ.

Elsewhere around the grounds, the festival’s Jimmy John’s silent disco serves up sandwiches and beats by local selectors.

Party late

When the festival ends at 11PM, there are plenty of ways to keep the party going at official afters events happening across the city. 

On night one, bass powerhouses PEEKABOO and LYNY return for a B2B at the Eastern, while Layton Giordani controls District. Saturday night sees LAYZ play Believe Music Hall with special guest Rossy, while Max Styler brings tech house to District for a second consecutive night.
