BREAKING: ODESZA Return With First New Music Since 2018

ODESZA have returned.

Following a confirmation of new music coming in 2022 back in September, the melodic bass innovators have returned with their first new single since 2018. The song is entitled “The Last Goodbye” and it features legendary soul singer, Bettye LaVette.

Sonically, the track hones in on the epic scale ODESZA, consisting of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight, are known for, but it instead adopts a four-on-the-floor beat. Even though the grandiosity of the sound removes it from a traditional “house” or “techno” classification, the overall groove remains solid, especially with the support of LaVette’s operatic crooning.

Rumors around Mills and Knight have been circulating for months now. Back in November, their Foreign Family Collective teased a new tour via Instagram, but rumors have also drifted towards the duo breaking up given the culminating title of the new track.

Rumors are, of course, just rumors, and until Mills and Knight announce an ending there is no point in making assumptions. Now is the time to listen to their spectacular new track. Full audio visualizer below.
