Swedish House Mafia have confirmed they are playing Coachella 2021. The announcement came from Coachella’s social media accounts via a photo of the trio walking in front of a Ferris wheel and palm trees. The photo fits the blood orange aesthetic of the music video for their new single “Lifetime“. The group’s notorious three dot logo was included as well.
Since Coachella was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been speculation surrounding how much of the 2020 lineup would carry over into the 2022 edition. Coachella Co-Founder Paul Tollet confirmed to The LA Times back in August that Frank Ocean, who was scheduled to headline in 2020, would now headline in 2023 instead of 2022.
That would presumably leave the 2020 headliners Rage Against The Machine and Travis $cott, with Swedish House Mafia filling Frank Ocean’s slot. The Coachella lineup generally comes out the first Tuesday of the new year, so keep an eye on EDM Maniac for more updates in that regard.
