New Orleans bustles with energey, but here comes another round of BUKU to add more jive to the city! BUKU Music & Arts Festival is giving yet another opportunity for festival lovers to visit the #1 Place to Visit in the United States by the New York Times, New Orleans, Louisiana.
The lineup offers 2 days of groove and jive to Bassnectar, MGMT, & Bonobo (to list very few) in the heart of New Orleans culture. Attendees can expect tasteful food, vibrant culture, and that southern hospitality. BUKU’s website mentions their dedication to “not compromising the underground house-party vibe” that we all know and love.
The venue of BUKU is located just on the outskirts of New Orleans with views looking onto the heart of downtown. It is nestled between an active railroad and the Mississippi River in a prior manufacturing warehouse. The location does offer lots of room for everyone to enjoy the variety of sounds they are bringing in this year.
Curators of the festival have also been focusing on the creation on an engaging graffiti and visual art installations that will be developing over the course of the 2 day event.
As of January 15, 2018, General Admission Tickets for tiers 1 & 2 have sold out but tier 3 is still available for $185 and that is not including taxes. They are also offering other passes that come with tons of perks on the website for additional fees.
While in New Orleans, it is suggested to take some time and tour the city. TripAdvisor has a list of the Top 10 Things to do in New Orleans. The list has suggestions such as visiting the French Quarter to riding the streetcars through the city to get around.
