Calvin Harris Just Dropped “New Money,” The First Track Off His New Album

The long-awaited Calvin Harris album Funk Wav Bounces Vol 2 is slated to come out late Summer 2022, but fans just got a taste of the full work. “New Money” is the initial track to signal what’s to come in the first album from Harris in five years.

The track features 21 Savage and has a smooth, beachy sound, with instrument-heavy stylings like a guitar solo sure to make Hendrix proud. The song’s video is also super aesthetic, showing tropical birds and palm trees with a wave filter over the visuals. One thing is for sure, the album will be wavy.

The rest of the songs will have huge names in the industry as collaborators, as stated on Harris’s social media. The post lists names like Snoop DoggTinasheHalsey, and Justin Timberlake as involved in the project in some way. The producer is no stranger to producing bangers with pop stars. “One Kiss” with Dua Lipa and “This Is What You Came For” with Rihanna both have over one billion plays on Spotify.
